Nice images Pete, it looks like the new gear is settling in nicely! I really like the lines in that first shot, and the little mini sun star is a nice touch.
Sorry to hear about the back problems though, that’s a real drag. I hope you’re up and running again soon.
“Wonky and misaligned”… I think that probably describes most of us photographers pretty well, don’t you?

It was great to see you there Peter, and thanks for sharing your images!! It was so nice to bask in the sunshine and check out all the cool cars, and not be in any kind of rush, other than getting back to the hotel for apple pie and pop..LOL

The cameras is awesome Wayne and Ian. As you know I was shooting the D2x so I had to order a FF wide angle lens and that showed up yesterday. I got the Nikon 16-35mm f4. Off today to get the WA filter ring for my Lee kit so I don’t have to deal with filter vignetting and am also going to pick up a MC-30 trigger. The RRS L plate has already shipped and once that arrives I’ll be all set for some serious landscape work. I’m heading to the Didsbury Show and Shine photo get together organised by John Fujimagari this Saturday and I’ll bring the new toy there. It will be nice walking around with a bit less weight hanging from the neck strap! I definitely want to head to the mountains and get in some serious shooting withe the new kit before heading off to the Arizona exchange in June. We’ll keep in touch and try and work something out with everyone’s schedules.

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment Sam. Yourself and Darwin are awesome! The Huffington gig is cool. They contacted me so somebody out there must like how I put into words what’s banging around in my head.

I saw the oopoomoo blog post and youtube video about the latest shoot with Talyn. Great images. Tell Darwin I think he totally excels at “freaked out funky”. Great images when he gets his freak on!
